Mazlan Workflow Definition Creator | Frequently asked questions
Who is this article for?
Users looking to create a workflow definition with Ideagen Mazlan.
Workflow Definition permissions are required. Modern Workflow Definition needs to be enabled.
The Mazlan Workflow Definition Creator feature helps you create workflow templates faster. Instead of manually defining every step, route, and custom field from scratch, you describe your process or provide a SOP, and it generates a workflow structure for you to review and refine.
This article answers some of the common questions we get about the feature.
This feature is available to selected pilot users only. It is disabled by default and must be enabled for your account by your Ideagen contact.
1. Questions
Does Mazlan use or access my workflow records or data?
No. Mazlan only generates workflow structure (steps, routes, fields) based on what you describe or paste in the chat. It does not read or access any existing workflow instances, records, or sensitive data in your system.
Can I paste my SOP directly into the chat?
Yes. Select the "I have an SOP document I'd like to convert into a workflow" option and paste the relevant text. Mazlan will ask follow-up questions if it needs more information to structure the workflow correctly.
Can I use Mazlan to edit an existing workflow?
Not in this release. Mazlan is for creating new workflow definitions only. To modify an existing workflow, use the Modern Workflow Definition editor directly.
What languages does Mazlan support?
Mazlan currently works in English. Workflow labels and field names can still be translated using your tenant's language settings after the workflow is created. Other languages are not tested.
Mazlan suggested steps I don't recognise. What should I do?
Review the suggestions carefully. You can ask Mazlan to remove, rename, or replace any step before confirming. Do not confirm until you are satisfied with the structure.
I can't see the AI Assistant button. What should I do?
The feature must be enabled for your account. Please contact your Ideagen Customer Success Manager or your internal system administrator.
