Using the Trainings section of the Inbox
Who is this article for?Users who want to learn more about the Trainings in their Inbox.
View Training Instances permissions are required.
Training items appear in your Inbox and allow you to add certificates of training taken outside of the Quality Management system, comply with sets of testing requirements determined by your group membership, or review documents periodically as they're updated in a more controlled and measurable way than simply using tests.
1. Trainings
Training items appear in your Inbox according to training plans assigned to your group(s) by your Management.
If you're a Manager, you may have additional training items to verify for completion and effectiveness before completion.
2. Processing a Training
2.1. Assigned Training
To process a Training:
- Open your Inbox.
- Click the Training Title to access it.
- Click the Associated Document link to view attached reference Document.
- Click the Calendar icon to select the date you attended or finished the training.
- Browse to attach a Training record of certificate (if prompted).
- Enter optional Comments.
- Reenter your credentials (if prompted).
- Click Training Completed.
Certain items may require a manager's sign-off to verify the training was completed and/or effective after a period.
Clicking the Training Completed button moves the item to their Inbox for such verification.
If the Training has a Test associated with it, you will see a pop up upon completing your Training. If you choose not to complete the Test immediately, it will be sent to your Inbox.
2.2. Self-Submited Training
When allowed, you may submit new training on demand.
To self-submit for Training:
- Open My Profile.
- Scroll to Training Record.
- Find the Training you want to self-submit.
- Click Submit.
Self-submitted training behaves as any other Administrator or system-initiated training.
