Setting up Workflow Launcher Automation
Who is this article for?Administrators configuring Workflows.
Workflow Designer access is required.
Workflow Launcher allows your Workflow to automatically initiate one or more new Workflow Instances. Where the Custom Fields used between those Workflows are the same, the data from the initiating Workflow automatically populates the new Workflows. There is no limit to the number of Instances that can be automatically kicked off.
This feature is a great way to have a Custom Complaint or Internal Audit workflow, for example, automatically generate a Corrective Action when necessary.

To create a Workflow Launcher step:
- Open a Workflow Definition.
- Give the new step a Title.
- Select Automation from the Type dropdown.

- Select the newly created Automation step.
- Choose Workflow Launcher from the System Actions dropdown.
- Select the target Workflow to launch from the Select Workflow to Launch dropdown.
- Click Add Automation.
- Select the Automation step from the list.
- Add Responsible Parties to determine who will receive the launched Instance.
- Tick the box next to users or groups to be added.

Add as many Automation tasks as desired to a given Automation step. With these settings, each time an Instance of the Workflow reaches this step, the system will automatically kick off a Workflow Instance for each set of parameters you entered.
