Adding images and objects to HTML Documents

Document Owner permissions are required.
To enhance your Documents, you can add images and objects to the file.
This article shows you how you can add images and objects to HTML Documents.
1. Adding images
To add images:
- Right-click the Document file on your computer.
- Hover Open with....
- Select Microsoft Office Word.
- Copy the images.
- Paste them in the file.
- Click File.
- Click Save As.
- Select Web Page, filtered (*.htm,*.html) from the dropdown.
- Click Save.
- Confirm by clicking Yes.
A folder containing the images will be created in the same location as the Document file.
2. Uploading images
If you use the Automatic File Transfer (AFT) tool, the images are automatically uploaded.
If you use the Manual File Transfer (MFT) method, you will not be prompted to upload the images when creating or checking in the updated Document. They will appear as broken links until you've uploaded them.
To upload images:
- Access the Documents module.
- Find a Document in the tree.
- Open the Document.
- Access Actions.
- Select Release for Approval.
If you're not using AFT, you will see an image prompt. - Click Browse....
- Select the previously generated image folder.
- Click Upload.
- Click Save Images.
Any future edits to the Document require you to check in/check out the image files. You must also remember to save these files in the Web Page, Filtered format.
