Configuring Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) workflow visibility
Who is this article for?
Administrators responsible for managing workflows.
Administrator access is required.
Workflow search results help users manage records efficiently. However, in the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) workflow, default search results usually show only limited fields.
This article shows you how you can enhance visibility in CAPA workflow search results.
1. Current visibility behaviour
CAPA workflows only show the following fields by default:
- Workflow Name
- Workflow ID
- Instance ID (Example)
Adding new columns to the Workflow Search Results interface is not currently supported by the software.
A feature request - Ideagen Quality Management (Core)S-I-5245 - has been submitted for future enhancement.
2. Configuring visibility
As a temporary solution, you can configure the Inbox Display Field to show a custom field, such as Description of Observed Issue, provided that the field:
- exists in the workflow design
- is properly mapped and configured in the workflow settings
3. Configuring reporting
If the requirement is related to reporting rather than workflow visibility, you can use the Report Designer to include the desired field in custom reports.
