Troubleshooting the "This content is blocked." error in Google Chrome

There are times when documents may fail to open in Google Chrome, showing a grey screen with an error message.
This article explains why the issue occurs and how to resolve it.
1. Issue
When opening a document in the system, you may notice that the title is greyed out and that the viewer displays a grey screen with a message: "This content is blocked. Contact the site owner to fix the issue.".
This issue is related to Chrome’s PDF viewer settings and browser compatibility with Quality Management version 2025.2.0.0. It is not caused by server-side ASP.NET conflicts or document tree rendering issues.
2. Solution
To resolve this:
- Open Google Chrome.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Privacy and Security.
- Access Settings.
- Scroll down to Additional Content Settings.
- Open PDF documents.
- Set Default behavior to Open PDFs in Chrome.
- Restart Chrome and try opening the document again.
