Troubleshooting Header Footer Tool (HFT) login issues
Who is this article for?
Users having trouble with accessing the tool.
No special access or permissions are required.
The Header Footer Tool (HFT) uses the same login credentials as your primary system account. However, it is essential to be actively logged into Ideagen Quality Management before accessing the tool, as it relies on your current session for authentication.
This article will help you troubleshoot login issues with the tool.
1. Logging into the tool
To log in to the tool:
- Log in to Ideagen Quality Management.
- Open the Header Footer Tool.
- When prompted, provide the:
- URL of your Ideagen Quality Management site
- Login credentials you used to log in to the system
This should allow you to use the tool as intended.
2. Troubleshooting login issues
Should you experience difficulties logging into the Header Footer Tool using your credentials:
- Log out of Ideagen Quality Management.
- Log in again.
- Immediately attempt to log into the Header Footer Tool using the same credentials.
This process refreshes your session and often resolves synchronisation issues between the applications.
If the issue persists, open a ticket with us, letting us know that you can access the system but not the tool itself.
Note
Always verify that you are entering the correct site URL when prompted by the Header Footer Tool, and ensure that an active Ideagen Quality Management session is maintained prior to launching client tools.
