Downloading document history for multiple documents

Managing document history is essential for compliance and audit readiness. Ideagen quality Management provides tools to download published revisions and generate detailed reports of document lifecycle events, including approvals and comments.
This article explains how to accomplish both tasks efficiently.
1. Downloading published revisions
To download published revisions:
- Navigate to CustomScripts/DownloadPublishedRevisions.aspx.
- Enter the desired date range.
- Select the folder(s) containing your documents.
- Click Run Report to view the document list.
- Check Download documents.
- Click Run Report again to download all published revisions.
2. Running a custom report
To download a custom document report:
- Go to Reports in the left-hand menu.
- Click Add.
- Set Report type to Document.
- Switch to the Fields tab.
- Add the following:
- Title and ID
- Revision
- Editor
- Approved By
- Approval Comments
- Date Published
- Apply filters for specific folders or date ranges.
This is optional. - Click Save and Run Report.
- Export the results to XLSX for a complete history of revisions and approvals.
The History tab in document properties can be used for individual document details.
