Downloading multiple documents

Sometimes, users need to download several related documents together, such as those sharing revision cycles. While bulk downloading of unrelated documents is not supported, you can download multiple files at once if they are linked by dependency relationships.
This article explains when this is possible and how to do it correctly.
1. Prerequisites
You can download multiple documents at the same time when the documents are connected through a parent‑child dependency relationship. The system allows users to download the parent document and all of its dependent child documents simultaneously during the check‑out process.
This functionality is documented in the system’s Checking In & Out with Dependencies workflow.
2. Downloading documents
To download multiple documents:
- Navigate to the document you want to edit or check out.
- Ensure it is a parent document with dependency child documents attached.
- Open the Actions menu.
- Choose Edit Document or Check Out.
You should see a list of all child depedency files, each with a Check Out button next to it. - Check out all relevant documents.
Each selected file will be downloaded to your local device.
