Why are Some Groups Bold or Underlined in the Groups Page?

We are often asked why a group would have bold, underlined, or both on the groups page.
To make answering this question easier, this article is split into three sections so that you can either walk through the steps in sequence or you can jump to the section relevant to what you are looking for:

Why do some groups in the Administration>Groups page have bold or underlined font?
2. Answer
There are different options for distinguishing between managers and members of a group. If a group or subgroup is bold, that means that those users are considered managers. They would be notified of any expedited items from email reminders.
However, they would not have the same capabilities as members of the group. If a group or subgroup was both bold and underlined, they would be considered both a member and a manager of the group. This would allow them to receive email notifications as well as having regular member access to items.
