How to Address Date Fields Changing When Printing

Customers may encounter issues with date fields changing when printed from Word.
To make troubleshooting this issue easier to learn, this article is split into three sections so that you can either walk through the steps in sequence or you can jump to the section relevant to what you are finding:
1. Issue Experienced
This section will explain what occurs when the customer is experiencing the issue.
The customer will have noticed date fields are changing when they are printed from Word. This is specific to Word 2013. When these documents were printed with updated versions of Office 365, there were not any issues with the date fields.
2. Resolution
This section will provide the resolution for the date fields that are changing when a document is printed.
- We have not identified a consistent workaround for the issue, but we have found troubleshooting articles from Microsoft with options.
- Check the settings in Options>Print and make sure Update Fields has been checked.
- Uncheck Detect the Language Automatically in Tools>Languages. It was noted in one article that a particular user had issues with the UK Date format changing.
