1. Issue Experienced
This section will explain what occurs when the customer is experiencing the issue.
The customer will have noticed that after they have uploaded a document to Ideagen Quality Management and the PDF has been generated, errors show in the table of contents around a bookmark. Word uses a hidden bookmarking system for linking the table of content topics to the page number. The bookmark gets deleted because the topics are erased from the Word document or a change in formatting occurs, and the error message will show.
2. Resolution
This section will provide the resolution for the bookmark error.
- Open the document in Word.
- Select the entire table of contents and CTRL+Shift+F9 on the keyboard. This converts the link to a static field and will show the error message now in Word.
- Delete the error message showing and save changes to the document.
- Upload the document again to Ideagen Quality Management and the error should be gone.
