What would cause the Automatic File Transfer tool to crash after checking out a document from Ideagen Quality Management?
2. Answer
The version of TLS on the client machine is not supported. To resolve this:
- Open the Start/Search menu and type Run.
- Type %appdata% into the run application.
- This will open the roaming folder, go back to the main directory, and select Local.
- Navigate down to the Ideagen Quality Management folder and open the AFT folder.
- Open the logs and see if the error message sates, The underlying connection was closed.
- If so, check the version of TLS on the server and the client, AFT currently supports TLS 1.2, which runs off .NET 4.8.
