The customer will have noticed they got an "The magic number in GZip header is not correct." error when trying to check out a document with the AFT tool. This can happen with older versions of Windows.
There are two main root causes. One is if the default file association is set incorrectly. The other is when the working folder of the user is set to Read Only.
2. Resolution
This section will provide the resolution for the GZIP error.
- Check the default file associations for QTXML and DOC extensions.
- The QTXML file type should be set to open with the AFT tool. The DOC file type should be set to open with Word.
- Check the path of the working folder in the General tab to see if it is set to Read Only. If it is, uncheck the setting and Apply changes.
