1. Question

What would cause an error checking out documents with the Automatic File Transfer (AFT) tool? 

2. Answer 

The attempt to check out a document will result in a message saying, "Windows can't open this file" or "Word cannot start the converter mswrd632.wpc." This is due to either the AFT tool not being installed on the personal computer, or the incorrect file association is set for the QTXML extension. 

1. Check Program Files to see if the AFT tool is installed. If not, go to User Preferences in Ideagen Quality Management and download the file. 
2. Check the default file association in Choose default apps by file type. The QTXML extension should be set to the AFT tool.
