What are some frequently asked questions around the Header Footer Tool (HFMUT)?

• My template shows a question mark on it, meaning it's waiting for approval. Will it use the new revision? - No, it will use the last published version of the template. The question mark is there to warn you there are new edits waiting for approval, you might want to wait.
• There are documents in edit, and I'm allowed to select them in the tool, what will it do with documents in edit? - It will update the edit file and leave it in edit.
• What will it do with checked-out documents? - It should not show checked-out documents. If a checked-out document does manage to get selected, it will not process the document and log that the document is checked-out and cannot be edited.
• What are known situations where HFMUT will not work? - Password protected documents, Excel documents where cells or specific worksheets are password protected, documents with macros that are password protected, documents with multiple locations (secondary locations are not supported, only the main location), uncontrolled documents, documents with section breaks, and documents that are saved as read only.
