1. Question
What would cause the Header Footer tool (HFMUT) to stop running after the first document was processed?
2. Answer
The error message in HFMUT states, "Operation cancelled at user's request." This is due to the macros on the personal computer not being enabled in Trust Center settings. To resolve this:
- Open Word and go to File and then Options.
- Select Trust Center on the left-hand side towards the bottom of the options.
- Select Macro Settings and in Developer Options the option to Trust access to the VBA project model. The macro settings would have to be determined by the customers' IT team based on their current security policies.
