1. Question

Is there an upload size for Ideagen Quality Management?

Ideagen Quality Management can technically hold any size file that can be contained on your file storage server. There is no official upper limit. The problem comes when users want to access those large files. Most networks work at a given speed (some are faster, some are slower, but in general, servers can provide files to users at a given speed somewhat consistently). What we've found is that when users try to view a video that is fairly large (1.5GB>), the network tends to time out before the request can be completed. So, if you are streaming videos, that could cause you some issues.

Ideagen Quality Management recommends keeping file sizes uploaded to Ideagen Quality Management to 1GB or lower and we configure Ideagen Quality Management to enforce this limitation. This is of particular concern with video files (in which case you might consider keeping the video on a hosting service and linking to it.) When uploading files that exceed the limit, you may see a page that tells you "The site can't be reached." An error message in the high log may say "maximum request length exceeded."
