What is the ShowDocumet link? 

2. Answer 

The ShowDocument link is for customers that have publicly facing websites where they share documentation with their customers, vendors, and suppliers. This hyperlink option allows controlled documents in Ideagen Quality Management to be visible to users without ever having to visit Ideagen Quality Management, thus allowing you to link to them from those websites (or really any desired location). Whenever a user clicks one of these links, the document opens in a new tab of the browser window.

Any document that has the View security for the All Visitors group (which is set on the Security tab of Document Properties, as shown below) can be accessed using a new URL format:

https://examplesite.qualtraxcloud.com/ShowDocument.aspx?ID=3289

• If this will be used in another area like the description box for Trainings, the target=”_blank” text should be added to the end of the URL so the document opens in a new tab.
• If this is for a Hosted customer, since the system is on the web already, no other considerations need to be made. Just use the link above to allow access to select Ideagen Quality Management documents from outside locations. If this is for an On-Premise customer, these links, like everything in Ideagen Quality Management, will only work from locations on your network (not from the larger web).
