How does test expiration for test definitions work?

Given that test expiration is set for a specific date at the test definition level, all test takers will receive a new instance on that date regardless of when they were last assigned the test.
Expiration dates are set at the test definition level, so the test will be re-sent on that specific date regardless of when test takers were previously assigned or completed the test. When a test definition reaches the expiration date, any incomplete instances for current test takers are cancelled. New test instances are then sent to all current test takers, including those who had an incomplete instance cancelled and those who had a previous completed instance.
